Preliminary Theological Certificate

From July 2012 until January 2014 a lot of my spare time was invested in completing a Preliminary Theological Certificate with Moore College.

The six modules (shown in the image above) covered the following topics:
  • Introduction to the Bible
  • New Testament 1
  • Old Testament 1
  • Doctrine 1
  • Paul's letter to the Ephesians
  • Promise to Fulfilment.
This course was introductory in nature, but very good.  However, if one starts to use the additional recommended reading material it can begin to develop an individual into quite the lay theologian that has; a sound understanding of scripture, is able to teach the elements of scripture to others, is able to preach if necessary and is able to correctly read and interpret the Bible for themselves.

Overall I graduated with a second class honours.  The course is not nationally accredited, but that definitely does not mean it is not worthwhile!  I believe the course structure will be changing to an online delivery format at the end of 2014, but those wanting to learn more about God and His Word would find this course very beneficial regardless of the mode of delivery.

A Clean Slate

Welcome, and thanks for visiting.

If you're a new reader of this blog, then be sure to check back in the future, as I will be posting on a range of topics in the future.

If you've visited this blog in the past, or are an old reader, this post marks a fresh start.  Whilst I have previously written a large amount of material on business and similar topics, I am interested in many other subjects.  Consequently, from this point forward, this blog will contain a range of topics that interest me.  I'm not committing to any sort of schedule, or to anything in particular.  This online space will merely be a place for me to collect my thoughts in an online environment for future use.  You are more than welcome to stop by and to continue reading, however the content will be more personal in nature, as I continue to think about the various things I am reading, doing, working on or attempting to undertake in my life.

In any case, whether you are a new or an old reader, welcome!  This is my clean slate, and I'd love to have you around as I start things afresh here in the coming days, weeks, months and years.

Kind regards,

Josh Moore
