About Moore Thought

When we are young, we all have big dreams and desires we want to achieve in our lives. We want to own big houses, drive nice cars and have the fame that comes only with celebrity status.

As we get older however, something begins to change. Our desires begin to seem less achievable and we are told to be 'more realistic' with the assessment of our own potential. A few years in this pattern and we find ourselves depressed, stuck in a job we hate, dissatisfied with our results in life and wondering if there is more...

Moore Thought has been founded for those who want to reach their potential. If you want to achieve all that you desire, then you need to embrace new thoughts. By changing your thoughts, you begin to tap your mind and can move quickly towards the potential you were born to reach.

Who are you? And what makes you so special?

My name is Joshua Moore. I'm just a normal everyday guy who is making the most of my life, right now.

A few years ago, I was stuck in depression and did not see a way out. Although I was one of the top achievers in my class at school, I lost motivation and dropped out. I could not see what my purpose was in life, let alone in life in general. I began smoking and drinking regularly and had lots of fights with my family and friends, losing many people I cared about in the process.

A few years on however and things have turned around. Since then I have managed to:
  • Conquered depression: I realised I was in a bad place and began to seek help. I started changing my thought patterns and my emotional state and am now in a much more positive place emotionally.
  • Quit smoking (4th Feb 2008): Probably the best accomplishment. After being a smoker for five years (and failing to quit several times) I finally kicked the habit and have been happier ever since.
  • Returned to study: After dropping out and throwing away my chances of getting into university easily, I completed Certificates and Diplomas in Human Resources and Management through TAFE (Tertiary And Further Education) and finally made it into university. I am now currently in my final year of a Bachelor of Business Entrepreneurship. My first year saw me become a member of the Golden Key International Honours Society (GKIHS), a membership offered only to students who achieve results in the top 15% of students at the university.
  • Started setting goals: Rather than merely dreaming, I started to set myself goals to achieve on a shorter term basis. These allow me to take action and see results using a trustworthy to-do-list.
  • Cut back alcohol consumption: I hardly drink at all now. The plan is to see alcohol eliminated from my lifestyle completely by the end of 2010.
  • Started exercising: I got back into the exercise habit and have been feeling better ever since.
  • Became self-employed: After obtaining a position in a business with one of my university lecturers, I have gone from the position of a Management Assistant to General Manager within 12 months, and also have got to a position where I own 10% of the business. I am also building other revenue streams (thanks to my entrepreneurial abilities) with a view to making a full time salary from my own endeavours when I complete university at the end of 2010.
  • Started an emergency fund: After a few tried and failed attempts (one seeing me get as high as $6,500 in savings) I have started building my emergency fund again. This is a great confidence boost and helps to eliminate the stress many people feel living from paycheck to paycheck.
  • Started this blog: Started this blog a little over a year ago with no idea whatsoever on how to do it. The goal was to share my knowledge from what I have achieved and to help others reach their potential. Although it took a long learning curve and has taken time to improve my writing ability, this blog is now starting to take off and I am getting more and more positive feedback from readers and business associates.

The first rule of Moore Thought is, you cannot talk about Moore Thought

This is a place where I am providing the best of my knowledge (I have spent close to $30,000 on my education) for the best price possible to you... free. As this knowledge has been expensive for me to learn, it would be best if you did not tell people where you gain your information from. After all, they might end up reaching their potential too!

(Note: I really don't mind if you tell others about this site, but make sure you are applying what you learn here... actions speak louder than words.)
